Welcome to the blog!

Hi all!

This is the new blog I've setup for my PhD in Mixed Reality Interfaces for Digital Museums as part of the HIT Lab Australia at the University of Tasmania. I started the PhD on January 17th 2011, and am currently based out of the School of Computing and Information Systems, on the Sandy Bay Campus in Hobart, the capital city of Australia's island state, Tasmania.

I'm supervised by two people:
  • Prof. Paddy Nixon
  • Prof. Christopher Lueg
This blog isn't going to be somewhere where I record much of my personal activity - my experiences of life in Tasmania and Australia, my travels elsewhere, my hobbies, my interests and so on. I have a personal website which would have this kind of information, as well as less detailed accounts of my research activity, at http://www.steve-neale.com/. The idea of this blog is purely as a place where anybody whose interested can follow my PhD research as it progresses, and can share with me their thoughts and insight should they feel the need.

I'm aiming to keep the blog updated regularly, probably once a week, although I may have some particularly interesting weeks where I feel the need to post more regularly. But I hope that this is going to be a place where anyone with any kind of interest in my research can follow my progress, share their thoughts, and get involved if they feel the need to do so.

Steve
